I came across this posting in our company bulletin board that enumerates 40 things or tips on the quote Handbook for Life unquote. I do not necessarily know where this article came from but it seemed interesting and promising to me. I thought of sharing it to you guys; malay n'yo, may mapulot kayo na pwedeng i-apply on your daily lives.
The article has 4 main focus or topics. I opted to present it in 4 parts para hindi naman masyado mahaba ang kalabasan ng bawat blog entry. The topics are: Health, Personality, Society & Life. And for the first part – Health:

HANDBOOK FOR LIFE
Author: Unknown
On Health:
- Drink plenty of water.
LOL.. Bibi (term of endearment namin) ayan ha, more water less sodas na from now on. Please. I love you!]
- Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a beggar.
[COMMENT: It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Kaya ako, I don't skip breakfast meals. Hehe.. Pero grabe ha!? Ang lakas maka-beggar ng dinner. Haysus! LOL]
- Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
LOL..]
- Live with 3 Es – Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
[COMMENT: Just like saying - “I'm ALIVE, ALERT & ENTHUSIASTIC.”
- Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer.
[COMMENT: I always pray, especially at night. I pray to thank the Lord and ask for guidance whenever I feel I'm vulnerable.]
- Play more games.
The “game” that was pertained here is physical activities – running, biking, hiking, et c. Siguro be more physically active ang sinasabi nitong tip na ito.]
- Read more books than you did last year.
[COMMENT: Okay, we all try. Hindi naman sinabing you have to finish 365 books in a year di ba?! Ang sinabi lang e MORE so safe tayo. Make reading enjoyable!]
- Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
[COMMENT: Love this one! Haha.. This is one of my natural talents (as per my partner). Hehe.. Ayun guys, moment of silence daw, parang library lang. Hehe..]
- Sleep for 7 hours (or more).
Kaya kitang sabayan! LOL.. Pero sabi ni ate Vi (Star for All Seasons) ay 6 hours lang daw ang tine-take n'ya, mas magaan daw sa pakiramdam n'ya. Sundin ko nga si ate Vi! Haha..]
- Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day.. and while you walk – smile.
[COMMENT: Hindi ba tayo magmumukhang siraulo dito?! Naglalakad with full smile?! Double effort lang ha!? LOL.. Anyway, what is just means to say is – do it with a happy thought. Biruan pa nga ang “hayaan mong problema ang mamroblema..” Di ba?! Hehe..]

There you have it guys. I hope you can get something out of it. These are just simple things that each and everyone of us can do everyday. Next time yung part 2 – Personality.
Have a great day everyone! Think of happy thoughts!
